I don't have any proof that what im suggesting is correct.
but
one thing i have noticed this season, is that if a player plays 'variable minutes' or 'starter-bench' minutes, his game shape has less chance of going up.

So for instance, this season ive noticed that, when i play my starters, as starters for 2 games, i get 70-80 'starter' minutes.
Likewise with my bench, they get 20-35 'bench minutes' plus if they start the third game, another 40 'starter' minutes which equals 60-75 minutes all up.

Ive found that the guys that are consistent in their roles, tend to have better game shape.

So with that player you have, i notice he has played 48, then 20 in the cup for most weeks this season. And then not another game. IMO, i think you need to play him in another game during the week. 3 games. In my opinion, 80 minutes over three games is better than 60 mins over 2 games.

maybe try that?

u might be correct to an extent but not exactly correct...
heres an example from my team.my player amurti choubey plays in 2 games.in one game he plays complete 48 mins and in the other he is usually the backup and gets between 10-25 mins to play which takes his total to 58-72 mins.and according to u he has variable minutes but still his GS was proficient for 3 weeks before falling to strong in the previous week.but yes his role says that he is the regular starter of the team so i cant really say if that has any effect or not.
and heres another example from my team only-
my best big man has been on strong GS since the past 4 weeks despite getting 65-75 'starter minutes'.so if ur explanation is correct then his GS should have increased to proficient.though i know that the sublevel of GS might have come into play.
this post is just in the favour/against ur explanation so i havnt considered any other factor which might have effected GS...

Thanks guys for the ideas, seems there's no exact ones to describe this. I afraid that this could be a bug, but hope it's not.

the only other suggestion, to test whether its a bug or not, is that you could not play your player for a week, and see what happens to his game shape?

it should drop significantly, in which case, at least you definately know its not a bug. :)

not the best solution i know.

If DMI is moving every week than there is no bug. DMI refllects the sublevels of gameshape.

As it is, I don't see the problems you see with your gameshape. Its not an exact science. There is no perfect number of minutes to keep players at proficient every week and sometimes players don't seem to be as high as one thinks they should. I have a player that hasn't been above or below respectable all season and I played him ideal minutes the past 2 weeks.

I'm agree with your answer as i actually asked one BB sometime ago (his answer were 'minor injuries' , which we don't know ).

As a U21 NT manager, i hope i can provide a answer that could satisfy my NT players' owner as they've put a lot of effort to train my country player.

i have my pf 127 days or so, he playes 68-75mins per week, nearly never been above or bellow respectable game shape, althrough his dmi changes from 92k to 98k during nearly 2 seazons, the only one week he had game shape 9 was when i trained game shape last seazon finals.

i think it can be caused of his poor stamina, since i have player who actually plays 80-96mins per week and stays atleast at strong for second straight seazon, pf has stamina lvl 2, and pg lvl 7

The player i display earlier was having mediocre stamina. his DMI was also changed slightly abit, between 150k - 200k.
hm, become more interesting... and that player owner keep bugging me on the reason... :S
