Good afternoon everyone

I want to start a discussion concerning the deflating transfer market we've experienced for an extended time period and the impending effects and implications this will have for the future of Buzzerbeater.

I am sure a lot of you remember the time when you had to sell two trainees (of 3) to finally be able to purchase a good player for a position you couldn't focus your training on (stage 1). (The times when training made sense...?) I'm sure you also remember the time when we saw some congenial players trading for above $10 mio... (stage 2) and I could imagine that you are aware that we're stuck in a deflating market for over a year now (stage 3) and it doesn't look like things will be changing.

My argument is that the economics of this game aren't fit anymore and a slight intervention could bring back liquidity, trading activity, training purpose and most of all fun. My argument is further that if things don't change, more and more managers will get frustrated and stop playing. Just reflecting Switzerland's highest division, we've experienced at least 8 managers within the last year that have temporarily stopped and stopped playing for good - because the game isn't was it used to be anymore. Effective training is nice, but fact is that if you don't sell your player with brilliant skills and MVP+ potential at the age of 21, you will have a negative return on investment (training / transfer price) in the long term, which is irrational and demotivating.

I am open to read what you think and hope to raise everyone's awareness of this development. I would therefore also like to integrate a poll, where you can state you're agreement or disagreement, making it easier for possible BB's to get a comprehensive review.

Poll:  Do you think we're stuck in a deflation and if nothing changes this game will loose its attractivity?

yes, I totally agree
true, but it's not that severe
not really
absolutely disagree

I think BBs have so much power in this game (unlike in real world were decisions are made through democracy, mostly) that they can and most likely will do what it takes to prevent the game from getting "spoiled" by financial problems. And thats a positive thing of course.
If you compare to real worlds global economy: no one really controls it, but in BB its a whole new ballgame.

I doubt the BBs have a code that can control the market at their will.

I'm not talking about any code. But I mean that BBs can for instance lower or higher the player's salaries (as they've done before) and other things like that. Even set max and min transfer prices if necessary. The latter one maybe a bit exaggerated option, but what I'm trying to say is: BBs really have the power to influence the economy of BuzzerBeater if they want/need to.
