There is no reward for relegation. Only the arena income.

I received income for the away game as well, also my home game income was less than the usual amount. Why the difference?

The home team gets 2/3 of the arena income and the away team gets 1/3 of the opponent's arena income. That's how the arena income is distributed in the playoff and relegation matches.
