The more you train them, the more money you will get for them. Right now, you've probably got close to as much invested in them as you will get out of them. You can't buy back the same talent and potential for what you would get out of them on the TL, especialy right now.

Combined, the two players are worth around $300K in fair-market value. Of course, if you play it rigth and start the bidding high, some sucker out there will pay it.

If you wait until after the draft, and immediately post the 18 y/o, he will likely bring a real nice price, because teams will have a lot more money to spend at that point, and a lot of teams will be looking for trainees. And that player has a real nice start for a trainee.

If these are guys you actualy drafted yourself, I would suggest to keep them because it puts more money into your pocket via merchandise sales each week.

Do you have other guys you are building your team around? If not, I'd probably use these two as building blocks, and try to add another top-notch trainee to the rotation in the draft this coming week.

I just wonder why are you not training JR? Both of them would do good when you play an Inside offence, but once you go Outside they won't be as good...

I personally think you should keep the first one and train him longer, but sell the second as he'll be 21 soon and his training rate will decrease quite a bit

I don't particularely agree with either of the other assessments.
I think that both players have good value.
Player two might not be as far along as one might hope, but he has the makeup to become a great SF.
Player one might get more value with more outside defense and jump range (and could gather up to 1mio some point next season), but player two can very well be trained until he is 24 or more (I got 10 pops this season on a 21y/o, 8 on a 22y/o), so saying that training him would be a waste is plain wrong.
I think he could gather half a million right now and some more training might make him even more valuable, if trained as SF!

I agree with kr1shna. I think both players have wonderful value right now if you were to sell them, but if you trained them (The second one as an SF) you could make a decision then if you wanted to sell them because they would sell for a lot more money.

and how should i train the second player to be a sf?

I would train outside shooting and jumpshot first, to get:

Jumpshot: Proficient-Prominent
Jumprange: average

And then train some Inside scoring and Inside D, to get:

Inside Shot: Proficient
Inside D: Proficient

Then finally cap it off with some Pressure, to get:

Outside D: prolific

Then he could look something like this:

DMI: 26200
Age: 20
Height: 6'4" / 193 cm
Potential: hall of famer
Game Shape: mediocre
Jump Shot: proficient(2 pops) Jump Range: average (2 pops)
Outside Def.: prolific (2 pops) Handling: prominent
Driving: strong Passing: prolific
Inside Shot: proficient(1 pop) Inside Def.: proficient(1 pop)
Rebounding: mediocre Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: respectable

Experience: atrocious

I agree (tho not necessarely on the order, that is personal preference tho)

After that, definitely some 1on1 for forwards to improve driving and both inside and jump shot.
Not to mention: You can never go wrong with more defense.

I know that I'm just giving him a place to start. That should cover him for awhile. If you feel like adding additional information on how to train him after those, feel free. ;)
