Season 19 tryout game : Singapore edged out Asia S18 Defending Champ, Phillipines 123-122, in OT.

It's only a scrimmage, but Singapore does possess a high level of ballplay. Just like tonight.

Singapore were almost iced the game without OT with 113-110 lead in 13 seconds to go and even owned the final possession, but Sun Qing Xian bricked 2 crucial freethrows from a Fouls by Phillipines, and let Scott Famaran hits the triple to force overtime.

This time Phillipines speed up everything, run the score to lead 122-117 with 2 minutes to go in OT. But Ip Kai Chung scored two quick consecutive layup to decrease the deficit to one point game. And after a Phillipines miss, Sun Qing Xian dished neatly to a spotting Mohd Hairulnizam bin Jantan, and he hits the big jumper to regain the lead for Singapore 123-122 with 30 seconds to go. After timeout, Phillipines was unable to convert the shots, and Singapore escaped with one point victory.

Chung Wen Xin and Ang Han Yao each scored 21pts for Singapore. Lu Jun Siong 18, Ip has 14 pts, Jantan & Pang Jun Wai scored 13 pts, and Sun Qing Xian has 10 assists, but shot an awful 1/6 from the line that almost cost Singapore the game.

Next week will be the start of Consolation Tournament. Singapore will host Thailand for the first game, then travel to Denmark on the next week.

S19 Consolation Game 1 : Singapore survive Thailand late comeback at 4th, win 89-85

The crowds never been much more silent than this time, when Thailand sank two consecutive threes to cut Singapore lead from eight into two.

Fortuna lady played some part as well, as Issawa Boriban three pointer rolled out from the rim. Rebound captured by Ahmad Islam, and Thailand forced to foul. After Islam sank both Free Throws, Thailand kept misfiring as the clock ticking down, and Singapore escaped with 89-85 win.

Ahmad Islam led SGP with 20 pts and 8 rebounds, calmly sank 10/10 Free Throws. Lu Jun Siong, Ng Huat and Ip Kai Chung scored each 10 pts.

Singapore U21 will travel to Denmark to face Denmark U21 on next week Tuesday 28 February 2012 @ 1.30am.

Didn't have much luck today against Israel U21. Didn't expect them to normal us. But in case you play them in the future, do remember that they're soft at the shell and hard at the core.

yeah, painful. You guide them to develop their player, but when their player are blossomed at 21yo, they will say "he is my important player so i must play him more".. i was like scratching my head... maybe next time shall train more and more players, so i will have more options...

Bro, I think u must need to select 18 rosters, and take care about stamina, FT and game shade also...
