It happened again: playing TIE, with my bench players all the season just trying to share minutes to optimize training, and i'm leading my division.

my question is: ¿does it worth to lose and finish 5-7th to get better draft picks? ¿is it legal? or it's better to finish 1st the regular season and get more arena income this season and a great season ticket holders increase that means more arena income next season?
thanks

That`s your decision... Depends from what you want and what are your plans... For example I care only about that I have to be in Play-offs for any price... Better loose some trainings but don`t loose position in first 4 who go to play-offs....

i realized my post is a bit confusing: of course i want to be in first 4 to go for playoffs I meant 5-8 in overall position for draft.

also think that if this season too the bots will be deleted, it could be convenient to try to get first in your division. there could be the chance to be promoted even if you do not win the playoffs.
and a promotion is definetly worth a worst draft pick

It is not fair to play a game to loose.
But you should now that the team with the best position at the end will play the playoffs at home. As the playoff is only one mathc, it is a great advantage.
Also the best team of the league will play two matches at home in the final three matches. Therefore, I would not give this advantage to my oponents just for a better draft position.

Answering your question more directly, with my opinion: It is not worth it to lose games on purpose to get better draft picks. It is better to get the MONEY. As you mentioned, more arena revenue this season, more ticket holders next season, and also more merchandise money. And if you win the title, then the money will flow in very well in the following season.

That's the advice I always give to people: Always try to win as many games as you can, and never give up on the race for the title!

(and btw, you can also consider the pride thing. Who likes losing anyway?! :D)
