The rules say

Your team has a baseline level of enthusiasm that they bring to the game, and the more enthusiastic your team is, the harder they will be able to play. In addition, your team's enthusiasm tends back towards the default value of 5 over time, and will always reach 5 during the offseason.

At the moment my team enthusiasm is 5, is this normal considering that I am playing the finals? If you select "take it easy" will that have any effect on your enthusiasm? If not, what does?

Another thing to mention might be that if you play Take It Easy your performance in the game will decrease a LOT. And performance is increased in Crunch Time.
But after the game your enthusiasm is effected. Crunch time kills your enthusiasm and Take It Easy raises it by 1 point.

Another question if I may. Normally it is said that if you play Crunch time the players will need some weeks to recover.
But if you play one game Take it easy and the next one Crunch time what happens? Will they still need to rest or one game compensates the other?

and how is the "need to recover" calculated?: we look at how many minutes they have played in the Crunch game (the more = the more they will need to rest), or all the players who entered the court will be affected equally? But if they just play a crunch game in the week and no other game (thus a maxim of 48 minutes) will they be affected?

Sorry for all these questions I just try to understand this part of the game :-)

PS: My first championship cup with a 54 points win!

Ok well the Enthusiasm is not a player-based stat. It is team based so if you use crunch time your entire team has lower enthusiasm even if you buy all new players.

1 TIE game does not compensate for 1 CT game. CT is much more damaging than 1 Enthusiasm point. 1 TIE game will only raise you 1 point.
