I am not sure if this is a bug or should be considered as a suggestion. I assume its more of a bug!
If a National Team walks over a match , he doesn't take the "*" sign next to its record.
If this is not a bug , you may want to think of a scenario. For example a really weak team , walks over teams like Estonia or Spain or any other really strong in order to lose only with 25 points and plays the rest matches. Then he gets an advantage I think. (and I think that's the reason for the "*" sign in the normal team leagues)
Also being part of the Hellas U21 coaching team , I have noticed many walkovers on the first official matchday for the U21 teams. Some strong teams giving a free win on weak teams. If there was this restriction they might think it twice.
Just making a point here , thinking its a bug that needs to be fixed. If you think this should go to the suggestion forum , I am sorry :)
