I just want to ask a question about a player in my league, along with a tactic the team uses.

'Zsolt Krúdy' (13576069) plays for the team 'A Team Dream' (90727), the tactic that he uses is Patient, which to my knowledge is slow paced (and the name is a big giveaway). I understand that they 'take their time and look for the best shot', but the player seems to be taking a pretty high amount of shots each game. And getting lots of points. More points than better players in the league, consistently.

Is it just me or is this odd?

With Patient its normal for 1 player to have a high percentage of shots. Because he takes more shots then a normal player there is a fair chance he will score more the the star players in your league.

What is happening is that his player has the highest level of mismatch with the opponent at the same position , therefore he is taking most of the shots and scoring them as well. This is because generally the opponents weakest player is their small forward because its very hard to have a small forward with no flaws. I cant see his player skills but im guessing he can pass and shoot in both inside and outside style. His opposing number obviously is out of his depth in most games unless he play a good team with good SF.

His SF seemingly was more of an outside shooter, so i countered him with my PG on defence (high OD), but then he still got 59 points. But i suppose his IS shot is good also.

I am still making silly mistakes every now and then, but if I do them, I try learn lol. So not too bad :) thanks for the insight! :)

(5685718) Here is an example of another player with the same type of result. It is not too uncommon.

He is a 174k wage player. This guy is an 18k wage player. That is what I just don't understand :D

Brian Cardinal might not a player who can dominate the NBA, but if you put him into a team on high school level he would be a dominant force ;)

Your 18k player is above the other players on his team, and most likely a star on his level.

And patient leads to most shot end up at your "outside" star.

The 18K wage player is playing against a lot of teams full of scrubs in his league and probably has bigger mismatches than the 174K player who plays in a higher league full of quality players.

As it is, this player is not overperforming by any stretch. As it is, his player ratings actually seem medicore/low for an 18K player. The tactic 'patient' will normally produce a ton of shots for one player and if this is by far his best player with a good matchup, the game engine will continue to choose him.

Yeah, I took into consideration that the 174k wage player IS playing in a league of god players, but this 18k wage player isn't (from what I have noticed) in a league of worse players. I looked at this guys history, and even when he was in a team that didn't play patient, he still did the same sort of thing.

I countered his outside ability (Well, I thought it did anyway) by making my PG (who has pretty good OD) play defence as SF to stop him getting those "Outside star" points, but it didn't really work, he still got 60 ish. I will speak to someone in my league who has a pretty good SF and ask him if he can do patient one time to see how it effects his shots and scoring, as he has very nice outside star :)

Just gind it slightly odd how he can do so well, yet be such a low wage in comparison to other players who don't. I suppose it is just heavily down to him playing patient as a tactic. I will have a deeper read on it, should be resourcefull :D

Thank you :)
