Sup everyone? I recently made a rookie mistake and bought a lvl 5 trainee with 30k salary. Well,I have bought two trainees as well. I am looking for a 3rd one and hopefully I can stay with outside oreinted offenses, becaue my 22k C is being sold.

Trainee 1 (Eric Billion)

Weekly salary: $ 3 204
Role: draws a paycheck
(BuzzerBeta)

DMI: 23400
Age: 18
Height: 7'1" / 216 cm
Potential: superstar
Game Shape: proficient
Jump Shot: atrocious Jump Range: atrocious
Outside Def.: mediocre Handling: atrocious
Driving: atrocious Passing: atrocious
Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: awful Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: atrocious Free Throw: pitiful

I plan to make him a pure C,since Forward skills are too low,and I kinda don't like his PAssing and Driving.

Trainee two (Pavel Kafka)

Weekly salary: $ 3 577
Role: draws a paycheck
(BuzzerBeta)

DMI: 6700
Age: 19
Height: 6'9" / 206 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: mediocre

Inside Shot: mediocre Inside Def.: respectable

I was going to pump Reb fro two weeks followed by 2 weeks of ID,then IS for a while. THen maybe is more ID,then REB,then IS. This is over a two season span, and I plan to make these guys my future stars. Any other suggestions. (I said Reb first, since Trainee 1 has awful and two has averege, and I was Respectable+ for both of them next season.

Ohh yeah,Trainee two will be a PF,and Will play SF and then Billion at PF so I can train 1 vs 1 Forwards. Forwards training is for Two (2) season to increase non-core stats (HA,PA,DR,and maybe OD) JS will be trained for a season on both of them after forward training, and they will play PG to train.

I plan to Make Eric Billion look like this:

IS:15+
ID:16+
RB:14+
SB:5+

Or course,I will have to sell him after a while to avoid such a high salary (MAybe 40k+ is too much)
I will leave his guard stats alone, since I can waste 2-3 season making them all 5+,and I could make his Core stats a little higher.

I plan to make Pavel Kafka look like this:

JS:9+
JR:4+?
OD:5+
HA:6+
DR:7+
PA:9+
IS:12+
ID:13+
R:12+
SB:(doesn't really matter)

Could you have bought a worse 18-year-old?

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Yes,But I didn't. This guy is trainable, 18 y.o.,fair starting stats, and superstar potential, not to mention 7'1 height. So I basically bought a good buy. And,training is to make a Junk into Funk. And you haven't bought anyone bad? Are you perfect? I garuntee everyone has bought trash on here.

I know, but training is making them better. I plan to train him at SF for FOrward skills, and then a season (Maybe two) of gaurd skils, and then again in Big man skills.

He is trainable but you are going to have to sacrifice. He is only superstar potential so no matter how you train him you can cap his potential. His height will help in the long run but you will have to commit two seasons to his guard skills now. Train one season of passing during three game weeks and 1v1I forwards during two game weeks. That should get his passing to mediocre or average. That would be serviceable. Then another season of JS forwards and 1v1. Js could hit average with decent driving and handling. Maybe get a jr pop through secondary training. IS will have popped a couple times through secondary training at this point. Since he will be center and 7'0" you are going to have to ignore his OD and JR. Those will be brutal to train. So done with secondary training at the beginning of his 21st birthday rotate IS and ID on three game weeks and rebounding on two game weeks. You will cap him when he turns 25. Blend in some SB training. You will have a 90k center and a D3 monster but it will take time. He isn't the nicest trainee but he is capable. You just have to be very disciplined in training him.

- passing is a must. I want at least average. It will train quick as 18yo
- js and ha are pretty important to allow for some diversity
- Od is nice on bigmen. Required on PF but true center not as much. Just realize this guys Od is a lost cause and don't burn the weeks training it.

Finally, you will have to probably stay in D4 for three seasons until you get his ID up. But you have to train secondaries first. No way you can train secondaries when he has a 50kU21 salary. At least not passing.

I have Big man skills until 21,and I don't care about U21,I need a Friggen starter. Haha,I will put Forward skills (JS,PA,HA) from 21-23 y.o. seasons ALong with the other. And then more big man skills. I think I want 9+ JS to have a PF/C combine. I have the plan, and I don't really care about HA,PA,and JS now,He is minimal in league games, and 48+ for GS and Training until 21 y.o. big man. My other guy should be capped when 22 or 23,when on Forward skills. Big men skills until 21 (Looking at 20k+ salary),and then PA,HA,And JS until 23-24,and then Capp him on Big men skills.

The U21 was auto fill from my phone predictive text. He wont ever be U21. But if you don't address his secondaries now you wont ever be able to. You can play a 4k per week at pg in cup and scrimmages now but you wont be able to when he is making 40-50k per week. That's a big percentage of team payroll. If you don't want to train the secondaries now sell this guy now and buy someone else. You will waste two seasons to find out you hate him.

I'm with yuck on this one,I know you want a giant that can dominate the key,but you have to understand that you are not building a one man team, besides,I personally feel that C with some secondaries performs better than a pure monster C without any secondaries:
1. Having some HA helps decrease TO,you don't want your starting C to lose the ball 9/10 (I'm exaggerating, but just an example) when he gets the ball right?then even if he has 20+ IS,its still useless if he doesn't have the chance to shoot the ball.
2. PA is another very important skill not just for G but for all players to ensure that the offensive flow is good. Also, you have other players on the floor as well, you don't want your C to take hard shots while one of your other player is unguarded and at a sure-in shootting podition right?
3. DV is another essential skill,it helps your C to get free and create a chance for himself to make an easy basket. I cant remember who,but someone said something like"easy shots made by a player with lower IS is easier to score than a hard shot made by a player with crazy high IS". So what if your big man's IS is not crazily high?he can score better if he can getopen under the basket although he has lower IS.
4. Also,a pure inside C with no secondaries are way too expensive to maintain, and not worth it imo.

I'd recommend training one-on-one forward, you can play him at PF during SC games,he'll also get secondaries pops on IS,HA and JS,which will really save time imho. This is just my opinion, just suggesting:)

Anyhow,I wish you luck in training them both:)

Cheers~
