Outside Shooting trains the skill Jump Range faster than the skill Jump Shot.

Jump Shot training does the opposite. You'll need to do both to keep the JS and JR balanced on your guards.

I trained outside shooting for most of this season, and actually found that it trains jump range and jump shot at roughly the same rate. Those are the only two skills I'd get pops in, but I had a player go from around mediocre jump shot and jump range to proficient jump shot and proficient jump range. If jump shot does train slower than jump range with outside shooting, it wasn't noticeable to me.

The BB's did say at the all-star break that the training speed will be slightly reduced.

Yeah that was 2 weeks ago but i still received pops with just jump shot, i think its because in jump shot you have the option to train both guards, while in outside shooting you can only train one guard position at a time for optimum training

I´m already training outside shooting for 5 weeks and I will continue another few weeks to have better accuracy, but you cannot tell how fast the training is in two training weeks... I will report to Training speed analysis thread someday before next season, as I promised.

But outside shooting for both guards ain't slower then jum shot for both guars in their main training ;) But if you train just one it was faster then the other training, so i think you should compare the secondest best outside training with the best jump shot training in trainingspeed and trainingspositions ;)
