The more of these players that disappear the better.
Why?
It would be nice if we could keep them around as star players for top teams. It makes no sense that the best players in certain positions sell for less than lesser players and it makes no sense that players retire because no one will pay their salary.
Would Cristiano Ronaldo retire if no one paid him 400k a week? no, he would probably settle for 200k a week rather than nothing.
Also it would reduce the need for all these farm teams.
