It is a very short time. Last season was the first with a trade deadline.
The season ends on a Saturday. If I remember correctly, the trade deadline was the Thursday before that. IOW, you have to have the player before your last regular season game.
With the end of the season coming up, the BB should probably announce the date. When it actually happens, the place where you bid will indicate whether the player will be playoff eligible or not.
