So I'm in D4 and have a pretty small arena which I'm expanding I was wondering what should the arena look like for a team in D6-1

Arena
Bleachers : 6500 (Current Price: $8) (Price as of 6/12/2012: $6)
Lower Tier : 600 (Current Price: $40) (Price as of 6/12/2012: $35)
Courtside Seats : 110 (Current Price: $120) (Price as of 6/12/2012: $100)
Luxury Boxes : 5 (Current Price: $900) (Price as of 6/12/2012: $900)
Total Capacity : 7215

The arena is currently undergoing expansion, to add:

Bleachers: 2000
Lower Tier: 500
Courtside Seats: 100
Luxury Boxes: 5
The expansion will be complete in approximately 18 days.

That's a team in my Divison V.30 league. He's... probably not going to promote this year... but if he had that kinda cash... maybe he will.... maybe just trying to squeek into playoffs then buy a lineup to win playoffs with his newfound money from attendance etc.

(his arena normally is around capacity)

Specific numbers? This all depends on where you set your prices, what country you live in, how good your team/fan survey is and how good your PR Manager is. there are no specific numbers.

But the best way to get your answer is to look at other teams in your division and country. Look at how good their team is, cheick where they've set their prices and how many seats they're filling. Ideally, you want to be about 90% full not 100%.

I am actually surprised by how many teams have sub 10k arenas in DIV and DIII. I just promoted up to a competitive DIV and my arena is already bigger than all theirs. I believe an optimal DIV arena can earn well over 200k in attendance alone with a good winning record and world rank of course. In one thread a player once claimed 210-220k in attendance in DIV. This would require close to a full 20k arena though.

If you have a large arena with cheap prices the advantage of still getting ~80% following a loss is the real kicker. smaller arena with large prices don't boast this advantage and the shear limitation of a sub 10k arena can really be a problem, especially if you plan on promoting soon as adjusting to harder competition while building seats is more difficult the higher the division you are in.

So optimal would be

~13.5k-15.5k
~ 4.5k - 6.5k
~500
~50

For a total of about 20k depending on ratio of Low tier vs bleachers.

I always was of the opinion that no matter when you buy the seat, it'll cost the same amount of money, but the earlier it's complete, the more money you can get from it. Other people look at it differently, I suppose.

Got sam question; I even blew up my team for my arena. Sold all profitable guys and now expanding 1339 seats. Now my arena is at 6501 after expansion....so what's the ""Sweet spot"" for a D4 arena? Is it like 8k-9k??????

This is what my Arena looks like and I just promoted into D.IV. Everyone in my league has an Arena at or around 7K just like me and my league is pretty active (14 out of 16 online in the last 4 days).

Bleachers : 6000 (Current Price: $14) (Price as of 6/12/2012: $9)
Lower Tier : 1000 (Current Price: $40) (Price as of 6/12/2012: $30)
Courtside Seats : 200 (Current Price: $140) (Price as of 6/12/2012: $99)
Luxury Boxes : 10 (Current Price: $900) (Price as of 6/12/2012: $725)
Total Capacity : 7210

I make 40K more (145K Total) than any team in my league but I expect that to lower to around 20K after my attendance bonus from promoting wears off after the ASG.

All that said I still feel like my Arena is puny for D.IV. I'd like to get Bleachers to 10K, Lower Tier to 3K, Courtside to 500 and Luxury to 20-30. That'll total out to 13,520 or 13,530.

So in my opinion 13-14K should be a good size stadium for D.IV.
