Hey all. Just had a question. I know there is an outside and inside tactic for the box and 1 defense. This makes sense if you play against a team that has a dominant guard or inside player. However, if you play a team with a dominant "SF"- which box and 1 tactic do you use considering the sf plays both inside and outside?- I don't know if a GM knows the specific answer. But I will take any input I can get from anyone who has an idea about this.

Or simply go and watch a few of his games live to see where he is taking most of his shots from.

He is a great overall player with both inside and outside skills. Shoots alot of threes as well. Probably like a Carmelo Anthony type player/scorer. I would say outside box and 1. My only issue is that since he is a sf...the game machine may end up playing the box and 1 on a gaurd- which would do me no good as his gaurds are very weak. That would give him more open shots and this man is averaging 56 ppg so far.

Does he play Patient a lot to get as much as possible from his SF?

In my experience 3-2 is very good against Patient, but only if all of your three outside players defend well.

His SF has got very high JS and JR (like 18, 15), but not necessarily IS. He's a poor defender as well. So I would concentrate on your own offense, and play 3-2 zone or even 1-3-1 if it's done vs. Patient.
One man team rarely succeed because of predictability.
Good Luck!
