I have thought of trying an all patient team. I was thinking of having one really good offensive player surrounded by 4 offensively challenged guys but amazing defenders. My offensive player would be at SF and could score inside and outside. My defensive guards would have very, very high outside defense and not much jump shot/range so salaries aren't too high. My PF and Center would have good inside D and and rebounding and would sacrifice inside scoring. Then I would model my bench the same way so when my star gets taken out there's still another good iso player. Any thoughts?

Make sure the other players have great handling and passing skills.

Without an inside scorer you are susceptible to getting Outside Box-and-1'd. I would suggest having someone at PF or C that can create mismatches... maybe a JS C or PF if you are worried about cost. Or just a traditional big that comes off the bench that you could use against someone you know has a OD that can slow your star down.

don't know if putting an extraordinary SF is the best choiche, SF are pretty expensiv to get an need a lot of skills.

Maybe it is smarter to get an player on PF with bosted shooting and maybe driving.

I would aim for a decent shotblocking on the guards too. like mediocre-strong kinda range.
I have a guard with Medicore SB but "not good even for D. V standards" defenses... and he's got one of the toughest opp field goal % allowed in my league.

Have a PF with the highest JS on your team and reasonable IS and you are good to go.

Yeah, because I said that it HAS to be that player...
Just an example of a player with the highest JS and good IS in his team, and he had some great Patient games.
