I just trained this week for jump shot, and nobody popped. Is it fine to change to a different training for next week, or do the players still build up in between pop marks (would I lose progress if I switched trainings or did absolutely nothing happen during training this week?)

No progress will be lost, no matter which way you go.

Skills that are very low get some training, even if the main training is unrelated -- or so I've heard. Someone who's been more active than me when this was implemented can shed more light on the situation.

With cross training 10% of training goes to a random skill.

So based on this and the fact that you mostly see very low skills pop, it's safe to assume that the elastic effect is real, and it's getting applied in some form after training has already be assigned to skills Not that it matters much for the current conversation.
