it has been run very effectively in the NBA by multiple teams and can lead to a high scoring offense

ex.*Spurs,*Thunder(sometimes), Clippers, etc.

*top two scoring teams in the NBA

so why can't BuzzerBeater set this up as an offensive tactic

you got a point, my team would be running over the competition of it. Princeton is like motion, so why can't Look Inside have a similar tactic. Get the point. I was about to suggest this when I finished reading about the NBA.

I agree pick and roll should be a new offensive tactic because it adds more diversity and freshness to the game but I don't really see why you think princeton and motion are similar...

Motion: outside/mid range jump shot focus, normal pace.

Princeton: outside/inside focus (fewer 2 point jump shots), decreased pace.

Motion is mainly jump-shots and the ball doesn't usually go inside but with Princeton you don't take as many jump-shots as motion and you mainly take 3's and inside shots. (Basically Motion is more Jump shot and Princeton is more Inside shot and Jump range in my opinion). Also Princeton is a slower pace type of game so that tends to lead to fewer shots than motion does. I don't think they are very similar.

I thought someone told me Princeton was making more 3's and Motion was 2/3 pts. I think you may have switched it.

Agreed!

More options the better, and PnR is pretty prominent in most leagues.

I completely agree with you. Only in BB would PnR be just as much an "offence" as Inside/Outside Isolation. It's not realistic, but how complex can they make the game...

What I would like to see is that in div5/4, you can get by with basic offence and defence setups but, as you go, you have to get more in-depth with it all.

The introduction of the Isolation tactics is super strange..

Perhaps the BB team should include some knowledgeable coaches......

Pick and Roll offense thing.

I see it as forcing up a new issue as well. Fouling tendency.

Who set's the pick and roll? are you doing them high post? low post? back-door? Where are the screens occuring?
We already have plays in the game where player A slips off the screen and fires up a shot. that's the same thing, just not as a focused offense.

If we focused it as an offense, then we have more offensive fouls for moving picks, illegal screens, etc. And more defensive fouls for people running over them etc.

Edit: Not to mention risk of injury. Both for setting pick, and for players running into picks.
