I play Low Post
For the most part I have used a PF at SF and 2 C
they ALL have 7 or better passing
look at some of my games and you will see they rack up assists
and they it's not only the big men that score
they will give up the ball to set up guards as well
I would play a SF at SF but in this game when you train that position, they never actually play there

As someone else said, it's never, ever a bad thing to have too much of a particular skill. Especially bigs have high guard skills. Those are exactly the types of players you want because most of those skills don't increase their salary. You're basically getting a better player for the same salary.

As for your questions, you can never have too much passing. Every player touches the ball so if every player can pass it, your team will get better shots. I generally make sure that every player on my roster can pass the ball. And don't worry about what position the players are listed at. It's a suggested position, not necessarily their ideal position. My best player is a Center who's best position is PF.
