Personally, I'd like to see my team call a timeout when in 4th quarter, they have a double digit lead, then blow it away to 1 point, or lose the lead... rather than not see the timeout.

Edit:
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/48866047/reportMatch.aspx

My opponent had used all his timeouts before even getting the lead back... yet my team slowly and slowly lost it, and gave up, and never called a timeout. I know PL who cares right... but, still the principal behind the timeouts...
My team waited til 53 seconds left in 4th... after being outscored in 4th... 36-14 at that point, blowing the 10 point lead they entered the 4th with, waiting until they were down 12. Does not make sense.

the timeout was used to clear the benches

yeah. and yet I still had 5... so... early in 4th, when say... the 10 point lead got erased... why not call 1 then? etc. etc.

12 minutes, a 10 point lead, 6 timeouts, opponent with 1 or 0 at time, I forget... what coach would sit there, and go through that long a stretch in a 4th quarter without using a single one? Someone who wouldn't have a job in the very near future.

write a press report of it, that'll make it funny.

I think we should have an optin like to toggle wether we want to use the timeouts or let the GE do it.

I'd just like an option to not allow the coach to call a timeout in the first ten seconds of a quarter. Nothing says BB Live Viewer Excitement quite like coming back from halftime, giving up a quick basket and the coach calling a full timeout!

maybe it is difficult to BB, because I think BB is not real live. I think all matches are completed before starting and live viewer just run the result. The evidence you may find in cup competition, you can get $50,000 in advance or nothing before your cup game. Sometimes, you may find statistics on player updated before you match finished.

He's not asking for live time out calling. He's just asking for the timeout system to be reprogrammed. Charles once said that the GE designed it to keep time outs for the very last minute. I say they should give us two options: Clear out the time outs, or save til the last. Those who want to save their timeouts for crucial moments in the dying minutes can pick the second option, those who do not want their coach to call timeouts like an amateur can choose the first.

Exactly!

I mean. 6 timeouts left to the other teams 0 with the lead.

Why must my team wait until they are down 12 points with 53 seconds left... when they entered the 4th, up 10. to call ANY timeout?

If it was a real coach, once they got within 2, timeout. If the lead changed/tied timeout. If the other team went on a 8-0, or 10-0 run, timeout.

6 timeouts... 0 teams out of 100, maybe a few out of 1000, would lose if they had 6 timeouts and the opponents had 0 timeouts. Would lose a game in which they had that 10 point lead, and especially lose by double digits.
