OK, here's the situation:
My team won Game 1 of the Championship Series, but is heavily dependent on its star Guards who have been playing a LOT of minutes--let's just say that despite my efforts to try to protect them during the last few weeks, they've still accumulated over 75 minutes a week.
I have heard about the strategy of tanking Game 2 in order to generate more revenue. This sounds very attractive to me and I think I might be in good shape to employ this strategy considering my team won its game Away and using P/O Normal vs. the other team's P/O CT. We already had an Enthusiasm advantage, and the results of this game should only broaden that gap. Therefore, even if we lost Game 2, I think we'd have a very reasonable shot at winning Game 3 considering I'd obviously be going CT then....
....assuming my team doesn't sustain any significant injuries!!!
So my question is, considering the overuse of my players over the last few weeks, how much do I need to be concerned about Injuries occurring in Game 2 that could throw a monkey wrench into the works for Game 3? What variables are most relevant (I assume Age and Minutes Played are important, but what about Stamina, Game Shape, or even Position played?). Am I taking a significant risk if I tank on Game 2???
Thanks for your opinions guys!
