My SG is by far the best player on the team. Last year, I had no problem controlling his minutes. For the first two league games this year, he's played all 48 even though I didn't want him to. In the first game, I went coach picks from depth, and that worked last season with him just being the starter and nothing else. However, the coach played him all 48 minutes. This last game, I went strictly follow depth chart, with him just as starter, but he still played all 48 minutes. Why is this happening? DO I need a better SG sub than the guy behind him, who is a weakness on the team? It should be noted that in the first game he scored 48 points, and in the last game he just scored 65. So he's playing VERY well, but I still don't want him playing all those minutes.

Also, should I intentionally leave him out of my first national tourney game? I probably won't win, which would mean I don't gain that extra cash, but if I play him, chances are he'll drop in game shape, and I don't want that. He'll probably drop anyway as it is.

My questions still need to be answered, but I won't actually lose my cup game, so it's okay to bench him. Now for the other questions...

If you want to keep his minutes in an area of around 75 minutes max., which absolutely makes sense, you should only set "strictly follow depth chart", and additionally let him start only once a week while putting him as a sub in the second game, leaving him out completely in the third one.
That way he won't play too many minutes. Additionally, a better sub lowers his minutes played per game as a starter.
I would recommend hiring a trainer with speciality "fitness" to keep his game shape a little better while playing around 75 minutes a week.

A doctor with "massage" specialty is better. Fitness only lowers the sublevel drop of stamina

You're right. Thanks for correcting. Mixed that up.
