SF's are the hardest to train, so it's not strange that there is less supply on the TL. Big men and guards can get away with being one-dimensional, whereas it's harder for SFs, they end up becoming liabilities. I've had a few SF's in the past few seasons, around 20k salary, for around 500k (some a little more, some a little less), but they were never convincing players. If you say you can get good trainees cheaply, why don't you train a SF of your own? That's what I'm doing ;)

A good SF is hard too get, thats why they are higher in prince, in my opinion.. I usually will settle for a PF with outside skills :)

Yeah, a PF with ok outside defense can be an option. More often though you see teams playing 3 guards in the lineup

If your talking about the promotion bonus, I think it lasts until the all-star break.

From your original post, it seems like you want everything handed to you on a silver plate. Like Perpete said, good SFs are expensive for everyone and not just you, so everyone is facing the same problem. How will you handle this problem separates good managers from mediocre ones. I, for one, am building my own SF; others are daytrading to get enough money, someone else is just saving money and tanking...lots of ways.
