That's a nice idea, I think. But shouldn't rookie be the first one? And how about using "savvy" for one of the more experienced descriptions?

Ok, so how about this for a second iteration:

1-Rookie
2-Novice
3-Green
4-Acceptable
5-Competent
6-Accomplished
7-Journeyman
8-Veteran
9-Savvy
10-Floor General
11-Player-coach
12-Asst coach
13-Coach
14-Guru
15-Jedi master

I was looking for a better word at #4 but couldn't find it...

Greenhorn! I was going to post that, but you were quicker. Old Shatterhand rocks!

1- Junior
2- Freshman
3- Senior
4- Sophomore
5- Rookie

Those ones are not a good idea since they're attached to a certain number of years played: a five seasons veteran called rookie because of is level of experience would be... Unpleasant.

I´d love to see experience increasing at a higher speed in lower levels also, but that´s a different story.

I mixed the low levels up as they are american insiders I stand corrected there, but given the way players are actually used I still think they are to some degree appropriate. Only a few teams consist of veteran+ players only, and that´s actually how it is in real life. There´s like 300 NBA veterans all over the world in like 100,000 organized pro and semi-pro league players. Should fit in fine with the situation here in BB.

Actually, most German BBL 6th - 8th rotation guys hardly have more "experience" under their belt than american college seniors ...

Guru is also highly religiously connotated, not sure why "Guru" should be treated different from saint. Maybe Legend suits better?
