… you’d be hung like a field mouse. But I’m here with another issue today.

I’ve been training guards for the last couple seasons and they are all 21-23 years old now and I’m going to switch my focus to inside players for next season. I currently have 40+ scouting points and even though I will get one of the last picks in the draft, I still plan to try to draft a nice trainee or two. I plan to one-position train 3 centers next season.

So how do I use these 40+ scouting points and give myself the best chance to get a nice draftee?

My guess is…

(1) Use SCOUTING COMBINE (10 points).
(2) Move all TALL 18 year olds to the top of my draft list
(3) Begin using my remaining 30 scouting points to do both a SCOUT and INTERVIEW on the best 10 options from my tall 18 year olds

Does this sound correct?

And is it worth the 10 points to do a GROUP DEMO? That only gives me info on 1 and 2 ball prospects, and I would not want any of those players anyway, right?

Thanks in advance for your help. I do realize I will probably end up having to buy trainess anyway, but there’s no sense in holding onto the scouting points any longer so I’m going to spend this now.

As you are really convinced on spending the scouting points this season, even when you will not be among the first picks of the draft, and as you are sure on wanting players to be trained at C position, I would definitely go with the Scouting Combine, and the individual interviews to the 18 yrs old tall draftees.

I don't really think Group Demo would be interesting for you, to be honest...

After the scouting combine if their are 10 or more 18 year old, tall players(6'10+) with 1 or 2 Grey balls, then group demo is worth it and more beneficial.

Also I'm aware and prepared for grey ball jokes.

so... with like 18 guys that fit that category in my draft.... that would DEFINITELY be beneficial for me as well...

14 are 18, 4 are 19.

6 18 2 balls
8 18 1 balls
3 19 2 balls
1 19 1 balls

So one and two ball prospects could actually be a lot better after you scout them? I was under the impression that one and two ball prospects were low level guys that I would not want.

1 and 2 grey balls are guesses.

1 and 2 orange balls are confirmed. You don't want them.
