We have injuries, how about a way to measure them? Play-by-play is not in the bbapi. Injuries are not in the box score and not listed in player stats, etc. I'm convinced there's a flag for injury proneness, maybe its the down side to having a low hidden physicality rating.

Either way, we need the info to be able to make judgments on player purchases. Scouting each individual game is unreasonable and the current setup encourages data mining.

As far as I know, injuries are random. The only thing that increases injury risk is playing against a team that commits a lot fouls, since that is the only way that injuries occur. If you want to debate this last point, I am positive that there have been threads in the past that get into that issue (since I've posted in those threads before).

I've had a player that's been injured (in-game and post-game) a lot in the last few seasons. I counted 4 times in season 19 alone. Havent counted the rest, but this season was 2-3 so far.

The number of injuries to this one player really stands out. Total injuries for games he played in (for both teams) was, iirc, 12. Maybe its how many fouls were drawn? I dunno, but there's no way to track it to see.

Every now and then somebody gets bit by a shark, even though the odds are pretty much stacked against that happening...

Last season my team totally ran off the tracks before the all star game because most of my regular starting lineup suffered injuries, most of them more than a week. It was crazy bad luck, I'd never experienced that before. This season, I've gotten through so far without a single injury that last lasted more than one game after the injury happened. Injuries are just one of those things that happen.

I personally think that there should be some sort of hidden injury-risk factor (like Aggressiveness, which we all know exists and affects fouls though we can see the attribute) and that the injury risk should increase by age. But this has been discussed in past threads.

This is the case of a somebody getting bit by a shark multiple times. How can i have a team full of players that had similar mins, and most of them do not get injured at all for a season (19), while one gets injured 4 times. I haven't run the numbers for season 20 or 21 yet, but i know this player has been injured multiples times while most haven't been injured once.

Maybe it's due to the amount of fouls drawn. The affected player is one of my highest foul drawing players, but, for the season I ran numbers two other players were fouled just as many times and they totaled 1 injury between them both.

The random chance for this to happen in one season is high, but for it to continue for 2 more seasons after? If you have other documentation id love to see it. I stand by the suggestion and request to have more information on injuries though. At least make PBP available in bbapi.

If you don't believe me, then I'll leave it to somebody else to debate you on this, chum.
(that was a shark joke. chum. get it? I just peed my pants laughing at my own joke. for my next joke, I'll make milk come out my nose. hopefully I'll be drinking milk at the time of the joke or I'll worry about where the milk came from.)

All I will say is there are people that have been struck by lightning multiple times.

The realism peace of having injuries I understand...but its a major fun killer

I'm with you on that, but it seems the majority support it. This is a feature that decides trophies and seasons. Would be nice to at least be able track it which is not possible.
