Seems like another belgian election of greatest interest ...

To at least ask something to our 2 candidates, I will just go with a simple question. How do you intend to deal with a superior team ? By superior, I mean their players are obviously better, so you are clear underdogs in that game. What would be your tactical approcah to try to get something from such a game ? (Feel free to give an example : opponent has a strong inside play, or whatever).

Thank you.

Ok, so I'll give an example: the Opponents C are way better then ours.

In the offence, we could play patient with PF with high JS, or Run and Gun to evade the C's defence. In the defence the obvous choice is 2-3 zone, so we have a high Inside defence. Although if in case their PG and SG are not as good as ours, we could play Pressing, forcing them to turn the ball over way more then usual. There are multiple solutions for the problem. And we'll have to see it from team to team.

Hello Dartreb, thank you for asking something.

Not so simple question by the way.
I mean there is a lot of other parameters to know before making a decison against a much better team. First is the schedule.
I Think in most cases I'll try to raise up Enthusiasm and take care of the point-average for the upcoming games and give away the game.

But in the case this is a "Win or Go Home" situation, I think I would try to surprise my opponent by playing with players with good secondaries and maybe playing out of position.
I really don't know what to tell you about games tactics in a game like that because I don't already know "my Team".
Let's say we are facing a strong inside team, I 'd like to have 2 good passing inside players and good inside offense players outside with lot of driving to draw fouls inside, playing look inside. (too much "inside" in this sentence...)
Or taking 4 really good passing players and a huge big F**king shooter and try to get something from an Outside Isolation.
Defensively, there is a lot of chance I go Man to Man. I'm not a big fan of the 2-3 but I could use it in specifics circumstances.

Hope this answer is good enough, still thinking this is not an easy question.

Thank you very much for your answers. I know that elections are almost to an end, but nevertheless I'd like to ask you one last thing : you both take an example of an inside-strong opponent.

!ngkor goes for 2-3, but Locks seems reluctant at it (you would use it in specifics circumstances). Could you please explain a little further ?

I have had in the past several difficulties playing 2-3 defense, so I'd really appreciate your point of view on the matter.

Here we are talking about a much stronger team. They are really strong inside and play most of the time inside tactics ( I imagine).
But that doesn't mean they can't shoot the 3 !!
Almost every time I tried the 2-3 zone, 3pts were raining over me with an insane percentage and I did not see any significant drop of the bigs percentage.
So I'd use the 2-3 only if the ouside scoring of the team is mostly inexistant, wich I think doesn't happens very often at the International U21 level.

In this case my opinion seems to be not the most commonly accepted, maybe even the wrong one, but let me ask this: what would you play in order to stop the Big guys? Man vs Man? If it is a way better team, this option is out of the question, in my opinion. So what would you guys play?

(Btw, I said the opponents C are way better then ours, this means that the outside players are not as good or just as good as ours.)
