I say do the outside defence first chappy, once he can defend he will always be useful.

i agree. i tend to take OD up first then move the other skills up in line (roughly) until the point comes when you want him to be finished a certain way.
I'd consider doing some passing so that your team can be a bit more competitive offensively when he is training at PG and the bonus with 1 position passing (or even 2 position passing) is you get to see more pops than with OD training :)
His JS/JR is ok for now and ignore DR as that will increase as you do everything else

Whatever the guard, OD will be vital then HA/DR/JS. The higher JS/JR the more SG he is and the more PA/HA the more PG he ends up.
Do you have an idea of what final skills you want him to have when you sell him/stop training him?
