How does a player go from shooting 21-36 in one game, which is rather a high shooting percentage for the amound of shots taken, to shooting 2-26 the next 2 games combined?? check it out (22363312). Any ideas how I can get him and other outside players on my team to play more consistently.

No worries i know hes not the best shooting guard, for the game i put on my backups but still like going 21-36 then 2-26 is a huge drop.

Last game he was up against a 38k guard and a 13 k guard (who was probably defensive). If he had such different numbers against the same opposition of course it would be strange but you don't play the same team every game.

Best part is:
In the game where he had the 21-36 shooting,
the guy he covered went off for 51 points

Actually, it was his guy who had the 51 points on 21-36 shooting. Plus, he was playing a 3-2 zone, so his SG wasn't actually "covering" any one particular player. The opposing SG did have 32 points to lead his team, though.

If you relegate to V and play a whole lot of crappy teams every game, he'll definitely shoot better. ;)

But otherwise, as has been said, your opponent's defense factors into how well your guys shoot. Tactics matter too - if you ran motion, for example, the team would be looking for more outside shots and likely generate some better ones.
