I wanted to give my opinion about how crowd management could evolve to give us more flexibility, more tactical options about which games we should choose or give up.
I apologize if my English is not very good, as a good French guy I’m not really fluent …
Right now, crowd attendance is only based on your last match, most of the time played away. In order to try to have better incomes, lots of managers want to win their away game, and play it cool at home. In my mind, this is not representative of the real sport spirit.
That’s why I want to purpose a new way of crowd control.
Currently : 100% based on your last game box score
My opinion : Should be based on : 45% of your last home game box score + 30% of your last away game + 17,5% of your second last home game + 7,5% of your second last away game.
This repartition is giving more importance to the show you could give to YOUR fans, those who take their car to come to your arena. I don’t want to talk about point average influence, it’s another debate, I don’t whine about this, it suits me as it is. This offers more equity to managers, depending on the calendar. Some have two home games in a row, some other two away games in a row. Moreover, to give up a match has less influence but last a little bit more. It offers a new way of considering the cup matches I think.
To put it in a nutshell, I suggest to give importance to the 2 last home games and 2 last away games, to give us more tactical strategies. Cup games results are not concerned by my post.
