I have a friend who just registered this week using his Facebook account on a Mac. He tries to set his tactic for a game, but he just gets the same error saying, "Tactics page has encountered an error. Please reload this page from your team's schedule." Why would it be giving him an error?

Which friend? Which browser is he using? OS? When did he try to set his lineup and got the message?

We are having difficulties with IE10 on Windows 8. It will be solved in the future but until then, I recommend Chrome or some other browser.

Yeah he was using IE.
