In principle the salary floor is a good idea but the way it works now, its a real nightmare for teams in my position.
The way it is now, it is holding me back and there are 6 other teams in my league that are well under the floor - so it only helps established teams to keep the gap to the lower tier teams open for much longer.
In my opinion the salary floor should be a some kind of average of the teams past salary expenditures and not a percentage of the TV contract, or maybe a hybrid form, where lets say x% are a fixed amount of TV money and y% a product of past salary expenses.
That way the tanking teams would have the same problems with the floor and teams that are new/moving up had a much easier life.
