**THIS IS THE OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT FOR ALL NORTH CAROLINA BASED TEAMS**
So, I'm moving the competition thread to here for this season so we can have it all in once place.
Last season's very first NC tournament was a success despite the lateness of it all being thrown together.
The Morrisville Ninjas defeated Downtown Dudes in a slaughter, however, the Dudes are already back for another shot at the title.
Ninjas are back to defend their title as well.
This season we will have a full round robin and and four team single elimination tournament starting Thursday, February 7th.

Feb 7 - Game 1
Feb 14 - Game 2
Feb 21 - Game 3
Feb 28 - Semi-finals
Mar 7 - Final

We will have two groups with four teams each. Each team will play the other teams in their group once and the top two teams from each group will advance to the semis.

Right now there are seven teams signed up:

I had to make an executive decision and decided to let Demon Hoosier go from this tournament as he is not currently based in North Carolina (though will always be a friend to NC). We had two last minute additions and want to keep this competition based solely in NC if possible.
Thank you Demon for standing in ... you're welcome next season if we have an open slot.

How do you sign up

Well, it was like birthing a baby but we finally got everyone signed up and the first game scheduled. Thank you all for making this happen this season.

Heading into the final week of round robin play there are still a few scenarios open for the semifinals. It seems as if Knights and Falkors are locked in. Dudes and Aces are out but will hopefully put up a good effort in the final day.
In Group B it seems as if Morrisville have a the edge as the Heroes have a tough game against Falkors. In Group A it will be a fight to the finish with a showdown between Raleigh and Greensboro.
It should be an exciting game-3 day next Thursday night.

Group A finished with Knights taking a perfect record into the semifinals while the Greensboro Generals gave Raleigh a rougher ride then they were used to with a 138-106 romping to cement their place in the knockout round. Both teams from the Piedmont will be preparing for their opponents from Group B

Group B saw a major turn of events as last season's champs, Morrisville Ninjas destroyed the Asheville Aces giving them the group on point differential.
Falkors fell to High Point Heroes but the Heroes fell short of the semis by failing to win by as big a margin as the Ninjas.

So the semi-finals are as follows:
Group B runner up (Falkors) vs. Group A winner (Knights of St. John)

Group A runner up (Greensboro Generals) vs. Group B winner (Morrisville Ninjas)

Falkors accidentally accepted another scrimmage before accepting their semi-final game which gives High Point Heroes a reprieve. Procta's team will take Nakedzip's place in the semis.
