Just wondering: If you were to pick up a cheap player off the transfer market and fire him before Monday, would you still be charged his salary for that week?

You will still have to pay a severance fee equal to 1 weeks wage for the player , in essence there is no way to have a player on your team for any amount of time and not have to pay a wage to him.

You're thinking staff. Players can be fired for no severance pay.

I have 1757 players for sale and I'm $25,835,360 in debt. Buy them at outrageous prices, or be selfish and make me go bankrupt. You decide, BB.

So let's say I just need to fill minutes at a position for a scrimmage or a potential blowout because of an injury and don't have anyone available to eat those minutes.

I could pick up a guy for $1, play him that game, then fire him? And it costs me no salary?

I like this idea ...

$1K minimum for the bid, but everything else is correct.
On a side note, you only need to dress 3 players to ensure full training minutes.

Yes i believe this is very common with people hiring 'scrimmage scrubs' simply to eat up minutes and then they fire them soon after.

I have a doubt, with the changes of this season what is better be in the 5° or in the 6° position in the table (i am pretty sure that I will stay in the division if i have to play a relegation game) but which is better I mean in which position I loose less money.
