Ok, for you training junkies that have actually put together good teams. Here is the deal. I don't care much about SB. Nice to have a balanced player, but when training my bigs, I'd rather focus on other attributes. However, it occurs to me that if I don't train SB, the elastic band effect could hinder my player's evolution in other core big men traits, especially ID. What's your thinking on this? Is SB training worth it for a big man?

Thanks. Appreciate it. From where I currently sit...that's a pretty damn good looking team.

From what I have seen over many seasons is that shot blocking can make an ordinary defense solid, and a solid defense good.
You can save yourself of salary and still win many games by putting focus on the secondary skills not just the obvious ones, ID, IS, RB......and SB would be one of thoes skills, also from what I have seen along with higher ID, you see more help defense in the m2m defense...... again I have seen this for many seasons.
In zone defenses, you will see 3 to 5 shots blocked a game just sure to roaming in inside, that equates to a lower opponant fg% along with the ID is nothing short of devastating......out means you dont need to train as much our break the bank on the TL to get that stud, which you can use extra funds to get deeper....meaning their will be little...if any drop off when the subs come in, it is litterally like keeping your foot on the gas for 48 mins, thats hard to beat. Having shotblocking bigmen can lead to so many other options you may also be looking at.
