It's that time again! After what seemed like an eternity waiting for all you "playoff quality" teams to get done with nonsense, here are the initial power rankings for Season 23!

For the new teams, I'll do this once a week. I use a formula that weights in game ratings, effort difference, win/loss record, and point differential. A new change this season, I will not be taking into account the entire season of in game ratings. Instead, I will only include that last 4 games. I think this will help teams that 1) rebuild at the beginning of the season, and 2) tank games occasionally for various reasons. The other 3 criteria, however, will continue to include the entire season.

But since we've had no games yet, my formula is utterly worthless. I use the only thing we have so far, MONEY! In these initial rankings I simple average the: 1) Average salary, per player, of your team. 2) The total top 5 player salary. 3) The Top 8 salary. 4) The top 10 salary. Some of these salaries will change by the end of the week with possible player sales and acquisitions, but let's just go with it.

Here they are! The first "real" power rankings of the season! These rankings will become more and more accurate as the season progresses, but never before, in my opinion, has the #1 rank been more accurate than it is today.

Im 9th in the power rankings but last in the standings with the worst pd in the league. I'm thinking good team just badly coached.

You actually just helped me identify a mistake! I accidentally used the CA Foreigners ratings for you last game! Which significantly helped your average ratings.

I've updated it and, unfortunately, it did not help your ranking haha.
