well well well,

i wasn't expecting it, but the election is already over. Only one person left in the election :D thx in advance for your votes.

The schedule is out and it's a horrible one. Germany, Portugal and Turkey are all top nations. Add the subtop likes of Croatia and Bosnia i Herzegovina and we've got 5 very though opponents. I'm pretty sure that Sweden will want to avoid the 7th place, so they'll exploit any chance they see with a CT. And Malta will likely do the same. The outcome in this qualification group will depend on how the GS is, the tactical decisions AND the management of Enthusiasm.

Belgium could end anywhere from 3rd to 6th (i fear the 2nd place is out of our grasp. for us to finish Second, we're going to need a huge amount of luck. Our Calender isn't favorable for us to achieve that second spot either...) Never the less, i'll do my best to end as high as possible.

We'll be starting off facing all though teams. first game will be against Portugal, which is a no win game because Portugal got HCA. Second game is against the Germans, followed by croatia and Bosnia I Herzegovina. Once we've faced those 4 teams, we'll know if we are still got a long shot at qualification or if it's all over. After that, we face Malta and Sweden, which should technically speaking be easier games (tho i don't see how we could consider sweden easy) and then we finish things off with Turkey.

I'm hoping for a Friendly game against our U21 this week still, but i fear our U21 coach forgot to accept it... i'm praying it's not to late to accept it, otherwise i'm very sorry for the fact that no scrimmage will be held. The U21 vs NT game will futur the current U21 squad vs a mix of 22-24 y old players with some 20y old player, with the intension of motivating the managers to keep training their players.

regards

R~

Nt qualifier is comming to a close.

Statistically speaking, we were the 6th weakest team in this group. (5th according to the rankings, but Turkey has got much better players than we do and i'm clueless as to how they preformed so poorly)

As for the NT, we did our best this season. Group was way to hard for us. we got a shot at ending 4th (on game ahead and provided we don't lose by more than 24 points to turkey, then we should be able to hold onto that 4th spot.

I've reached out to a couple of other NT's to have a 4 Nation tournament, and so far have had confirmation from England that they will be taken part. Other invitations are underway.

The basic idea will be to kick everyone out of the NT teams by a certain date. Other Nt coaches have to verify that the teams were empty at that date, to ensure that all teams start with an enthusiasm of lvl 1. the idea will be to play on neutral court against the other Nations, and we'll keep a table of who won what and by how many on one of the nations forums (if it isn't the Belgium forum, then i'll provide the link as to where it will be held). I'll fill you in on the details and the names of the other participants once i get more answers on who will join in on this 4 nation tournament.

regards

GM-Revo

Great, a consolation tournament :)

Good luck ! As for the results, that was a particularly horrible draw, wasn't it ?

With the GS we had this season, i think we might have been able to sneak into a second spot in some other qualifying groups. But certainly not in this group. though luck, so be it.

Also, the Netherlands are will be joining in on the 4 nations tournament.

So we got atm:

1) England
2) Netherlands
3) awaiting reply, probably Finland
4) Belgium

Good job against Turkey BTW, that was far from being an obvious win.

i think i've discovered why Backaert was hardly used in the last 2 games. it would also explain our scoreline slightely better.

Our main problem is that we got a above average offense, but our defense isn't that top notch anymore. 4 seasons ago, we relied on our defense to win games. now we have to rely on our offense, something which i don't like to do. but the game has changed and it's impossible to have guards with high IS and ID, aswell as bigs with great defensif skills (being both good in OD, ID, RB and SB, then you would have much offense). so we have to find a kind of balance between all of that (and ofcourse, that balance has to be affordable for the clubs economies!)

We got some good players coming in for the futur. a couple of studs, but you need a full 18 man roster worhty of players and i'm not sure if we'll have those (or if we'll ever have those. the amount of managers in Belgium is decreasing, thus the amount of players with high potential and good starting skills are decreasing as well, thus it becomes hard to go forward from here on out and we'll have to wonder if we'll ever get 18 worthy starters on the NT).

The only way for that to work is to mimic the Czech system, but i fear our BBBL is to competitive (or atleast one conference is) to mimic it...
