I'm really upset that my team lost this game, especially after I recently acquired a new SG that brought some much needed outside defense to my team. I understand he had higher enthusiasm (he CT'd me) however his players were in mediocre game shape, and he had few back ups to give his players rest off the court.

How much money do I have to spend so my team doesn't suck so bad? (foul over and over)

His team is not bad, he played home, he tried harder then you..

Normal match, nothing strange.

almost all his players had 5 gs though while mine all had 7 or higher. Secondly why in the 4th quarter my team comes back from behind and not in the 3rd?

Your only looking at a quarter, or so of the game. Gameshape amplifies positively or negatively a players ability. Home court is almost like starting the game 0-8, maybe 0-10, if you have a PR guy with crowd involvement. Then Enthusiasm, looks like you CTed last week? He hasn't, but then you TIEd. Even if he normaled with a 6, to your TIE of 3/4? That is a big difference too. You just can't look at gameshape, and say, well mine was better, I should have won. It takes a collection of all the parts to win.

Good Luck with the season.

I took it easy the cup match because I had a hard match tuesday against the confrence champ which I did CT. my enthusiasm level was only 1 under his. he normaled every match until his cup match. I still think he had a lot more negatives than positives against my team.

I understand and defiantly appreciate the advice. It is frustating for me because I've been in the IV divison for so long and I see other teams in III division and they don't look to much stronger than mine currently is. I spent a lot of money upgrading my arena and then made a significant purchase where my team was weak at only for it to not pay off.

The team I faced went 22-0 in his division and came into my division with so much cash and the promotion bonus that it created an unfair advantage to the teams that are currently in IV.25. It just seems to be the story season after season that my team can't win despite the major changes and adjustments i've made.

You need to work on building up your bench. YOu have 4 good pieces. 4 on 5 will never win. Its okay to do 4 on 5, if your actively training, but it doesn't look to be the case. Plus, once those 4 get tired, your bench is easy prey for the opponent.

Your arena is nice. I'd buy 2 young Allstar+ potential 18yos with atleast Average ID and OD, and build them up, then add 2 or 3 33 YO's that have some actual skills to help fill out your roster, on the cheap.

Maybe 3-2 zone helps you in this game but probably not on the road with less effort. Sometimes the other guy just wants it more. This was a very high paced game. Make sure your stamina is up for all that running. Less effort usually results in more fouls.
The number that really jumps out of the box score is Fu Tuan Dan +/- was -15 in 17 minutes. He got worked over. Maybe train up is OD as a priority and play him at SG on defense while you're training him at PG

Yeah, I took notice of that too. I'm training him right now for OD at PG simply because it's 1 pos training so he'll pop faster (in theory). I'm reevaluating really having a trainee on my team because they just seem like a liability, it would be different if i was in V division but as you can tell in IV.25 I really shouldn't have him on the court unless it's a scrimmage. I'm thinking it might be more beneficial to buy a trainee that has some defense already on them rather than starting from scratch.
