How should I train this player? He is a 20 year old 6'11 center with star potential.

Jump Shot: average Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: atrocious Handling: inept
Driving: average Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: proficient Inside Def.: prominent
Rebounding: prolific Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: inept Free Throw: respectable
Experience: pitiful

Thanks!

Well you seem to be doing a good training job with him right now. I would keep training his inside D and inside shot until they both reach sensational and then train 1v1 for forwards in order to get his handling up a bit more.

You have to consider the upcoming GE changes as well, when you create your Training shedule for Timo.

I would prefer the following skillset in order to have good chances against the op Look Inside Tactic:

IS: 9 / ID 13 / RB 11 / SB 11

Start with ID Training to 13 and give him SB Training as long as he will reach his cap.

His salary will be at approx. 25 k to 26 k, when he will be ready. Due to his low Pot you will not be able to train him any further than that.

Well, it might happen that he will get some extra pops, when you will train SB (trains ID and RB as well). If that will happen, Skillset will look a bit different at the end, which wouldn´t be that good...

To be honest, I wouldn´t train that guy anyway. You should try to sell him and buy a younger Player with more Pot.

I would train him until ID, IS and REB to sensational.

BTW, shall we train the OD of the centre? Atrocious seems too low for OD ... I think at least pitful (or even awful) would be better.

I agree with HAHA. You should try to get that OD up to awful or inept (3-4). I would also give him 1v1/PA training until he hits respectable or strong (7-8) in HA/DR. If he still doesn't cap, then I would finish him off with IS/ID.

What a waste of time...beside...OD and PA training wouldn´t have any effect on his salary and therefor no effect on his cap as well...

OD/PA having no effect on his salary and cap is a good thing.

Not sure why you say it's a waste of time. Those secondaries are great to have, and you gave one good reason to train them.

edit:

But something needs correction: Up to a certain point, in this context, the PA and OD will be free. But not having an effect on his salary does not necessarily imply not adding up towards filling up his skills towards his potential cap. In this case it's just a little, looking at his current skill-set.

Brandon Griffith is the player you should concentrate on skilling up. He's a superstar you drafted.

I would suggest one on one forwards. Then train pressure some.

But it matters more what your rookie skills are to get him developed. He will be a better asset long-term.
