My goal of a successful all American team has been put into action and is already paying off. I am reporting this in hopes to inspire other USA managers to look at also forming an all American team. The three biggest positives so far:

Trainees: I have bought two SF/PF superstar USA trainees for about 1.4 million combined but one of them is now ranked 3rd among all SF prospects and my other SF is ranked 11th. I also find it much more enjoyable to train these guys because they are my country's future so I take more pride in my training, instead of me helping other countries become successful. It also means that I am taking the initiative and didn't let other managers from Canada steal our young talent and ruin it

Arena: since I have stopped buying expensive foreign players, I have had about 500k that I have already put into my arena and I am finally expanding it after a ton of seasons being known as the team with a tiny arena. This was something I didn't even realize would happen when starting up this dream.

Merchandise: after getting a ton of USA players and selling off many of my foreign players my merchandise has doubled going from about 15k per week to 33k per week. Remember this merchandise increase has occurred simply because of the large number of Americans on my team now because I only have 2 players that I drafted on my team. So far this goal has been very beneficial and I hope some of you other managers look at doing the same or similar things as I decided to do because it would not only help our U21 team grow but it is also handy for your team alone as well.

I know your trying to inspire other managers to do the same, but I highly doubt a couple 15k Americans, a couple american trainees and a bunch of scrubs will get you +18k in merchandise.
Im sure 90% of that increase was from you promoting, but good try ;)

Actually, I pulled in over 60k in merchandise in D3 last week, so being all-American does have its benefits.

I noticed you finally bought another player too (American obviously). No more all just draft picks?

Ofcourse it has benefits, especially with a home grown and 40k players, just saying 10-15k salary players wont get you much more than 5k merch especially if theyre not home grown.

It was the perfect moment in my training program and I wasn't blessed with the perfect draft. *shrug*

I have precisely one player making 40k or more every week. Nobody else makes more than 21k and my whole team salary is less than $150k in D3. The fact that merchandise is currently paying almost 42% of my team's salary is nothing to at which to scoff, good sir.

That's a possibility. I'd thought that the high figure had more to do with having the league's scoring leader when the previous merch payment came out, but I don't even have anyone in the leaders now and it only dropped by around $100 this week:

3/4/2013 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 39 152 (last week in IV.52)
3/11/2013 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 45 132
3/18/2013 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 60 915
3/25/2013 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 60 833
