It is general opinion that attendance is affected both by the performance of your team and your opponent's team. Was just wondering which plays a bigger part in determining attendance: your opponent's record or country rank.

I've heard it depends more on away wins than home wins.

In this case I'm not talking about your team. I'm talking about your opponent's team since they are also factored in when determining attendance

If your opponent is #1 seed, ofcourse you'll have more attendance. It's as if you're the Miami Heat, and you're playing against OKC or LA. There will be more fans than if it were Miami Heat vs the Bobcats.

What about in a case like this (33522). He is eighth in his conference but his country e=rank is 33 (better than mine). Which would take precedence the country rank or record?

Ticket prices and PR managers also effect attendance.

Your income won't be affected TOO much either way.. Sure you might not sell out every game of the season (unless your tickets are a dollar a pop), but you may have only a few empty seats. With good ticket pricing and an expanding arena, you shouldn't have to worry much about losing money each week. You should be building your arena virtually every week.

EDIT: Someone said this before me, but if you win your away game prior to your upcoming home game, you will gain more attendance.
