Haha! That game is no surprise for anyone who understands this game even a little bit. Your opponent was bound to win based on the ratings in boxscore: opponents outside scoring beat your outside defence and opponents outside defenc beat your outside scoring. And both teams were told to shoot from outside. In addition to this your players were TAKING IT EASY and opponents players were PLAYING CRUNCH TIME. That is huge. That cannot be seen in the ratings but if it could, it would add about two levels to all of your opponents ratings. So that just about eliminates your rebound advantage.
Which is a broken game engine. 4 players - especially with 2 bench warmers - should NEVER beat 5 players on the court.
Look at it from a POV of realism, not from a game engine that bases itself solely on numbers and formulas. Regardless of any bonus homecourt and crunch might give, what about a bonus a team should get for having more players on the court? And what about a penalty for never resting your players?
If 5 players are playing 4, they can never be properly defended - there's no way that team is getting 15 offensive rebounds, let alone 35 defensive rebounds! Especially when my rebounding was 2 levels higher than his.
Every point attempt for my team should have an advantage, since he cannot properly defend me and there is ALWAYS a man open.
His 'best player' would be at a huge disadvantage, because I could always double team him and STILL have all of his other players covered. There's no way that player is scoring 50 points.
Completely unrealistic.
