Hi all,

just a short question. Which outside skill uses the most for a PF? Is it PA, OD, JS or maybe HA? If these skills are on the same level which one would you train for 1 or 2 ups?

Best regards!

For inside tactics such as LI, HA plays a big role for PF so if you have to choose, give 2 ups in HA.

Depends on your tactics. I ran a motion offense a few seasons ago with a PF who was 14/8 JS/JR and he was pretty much unstoppable (60%/46%/80% FG/3pt/FT). Incompetence on defense eventually meant I had to sell him, but offensively he was a monster. Since then, I've been partial to PF with a good JS over anything else.

How important is the JR for PF? I saw many PF has 3 or less in JR category, but still manage to make mid-range shots.

To me, I think a PF should have at least 10/3 JS/JR, maybe 5 in OD, that should be good enough.

I like having 7-8 for JR on both of my interior players, but it's not a deal breaker. At the lower levels I would assume it's less of a problem. As you move up, it should generally be higher just because you're going to have more well-rounded PFs that can guard the outside shot more efficiently.

I had a friendly rivalry with another Irish manager a few seasons back- his PF was fantastic, on PR's National team and consistently top 5 in the MVP vote. His build was something like 14/4 JS/JR and while he'd routinely score 40+ on a lot of teams, my PF (9 OD) would usually hold him below 40% from the field. Obviously a small sample size (maybe 15 games or so), but experiences like this with the game engine forms all of our opinions, I suppose.
