Can a player that's listed on the TL play for their current team if there are no bids? On the player's page, it says "This player will not be eligible to play in this season's playoff games." Is that only if he changes teams?
I vaguely remember it being said a player can't play event if he remains on the team, but if someone can confirm, it'd be appreciated. I may have to buy my opponent's player just so he can't use him.

Yes, they can. Even if they do have a bid on them, they can still play. For example, if Player A has a game at 7 PM, and his auction time ends at 7:01, he can still play in the game. When the game is over, then he will be transferred to his new team.

On the player's page, it says "This player will not be eligible to play in this season's playoff games." Is that only if he changes teams?

Yes, that is only if the player is bought by a team. It also depends when they were listed. If you bought a player today, you can use him in the playoffs because he was transferred on the 22nd. This season, any player listed after 8 AM on May 24, then that player will be ineligible for the playoffs. Hope this answers your question.

Sorry, I wasn't too clear... my opponent for relegation has a few players listed on the TL that were put on there after the deadline. If they don't get purchased, can they still play for my opponent? If someone has experience with that situation, your input would especially be appreciated!

Since those players are on his team, they will still be able to play for him in the postseason.

Have you had experience with this? Intuitively, that's what I think makes sense, but as I mentioned in the OP, I remember hearing that not being the case, although I don't know for sure.

As long as the player's page does not say "This player is ineligible for playoffs" he'll play for the current team he is on.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Hypothetical question: If a player is transferred to another team (isn't eligible for playoffs there) and then is transferred back to his previous club will he be eligible to play in the playoffs?

I seriously doubt it. With each transfer, any real connection of that player to his previous-now-most-current team is wiped out. For example, the tax on the transfer price is reset as if he were never on the team, and his history of how many days he's been on the team is reset.

No, he won't.

To answer my own question, the player is eligible to play if nobody bids on him, but I think if the current owner bids on him (potentially to outbid an opponent) then he isn't even if he never leaves the team.

That would be correct since a sale was made. Doesn't matter to who.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.
