Yes he can. He can play in both just as long as he is in the lineup for both. I once had a guy on my team, playing in a game for another team because I had just bought him, yet he was in the middle of a game for his previous owner and... yeah.. it was interesting. He then proceeded to play in my scrimmage about 4 or 5 hours later.
