There are no one position trainings that require you to play your trainee at the sf position. I wish there was a sf defensive training that was available for training that provided training in OD and ID. Obviously it would be a small percentage of what you would get while training one position pg pressure and one position C inside defense but worked on both skills. There is a percentage that would make this addition to the training options mathematically workable without screwing with balance.

I 100% agree. I'm training two SF's right now (Will probably be three next season), and they are a pain to train because their are no position trainings for SF. If this is added, it would be much easier and more fair in my opinion. Great Idea!

True, very true, but it does seem quite unfair that all the other positions can play their designated spot, or at least close to it (such as a PF in the center spot or a SG/PG in the other spot), pretty much right from the start and the SF has to be trained out of position until they are 25. You have to train them out of position for 7 seasons and can only use them in their designated spot for 5-7 seasons before you need to sell him/his skills are about to go down. Simply adding this, you would still be training him out of position for awhile, but I think by age 22-23 you can put him at the SF position and he can still be trained to the fullest.

I totally understand what you are saying Manon. You and I have had very meaningful dialougue in the past. What I am proposing shouldn't make it infinitely easier to train a sf if the training percentages allotted are equivalent. The biggest pain is how the rest of your team is built for training a sf. Under current rules it benefits a team that already has a sf and not teams trying to build their first. If you already have a stud sf, it is much easier to train his replacement than it would be to start from scratch.

What if a one position training at the SF position trained something like 35% OD, 35% ID, 20% SB and 10% Cross training. That seems fair in my mind.

That's pretty much what I had in mind. Maybe less on the secondary but either way, that's the idea.

I would be okay with that, but 40% OD, 40% ID, 10% SB and 10% CT. What is it when you train pressure right now? Does 80% go to OD or is it less than that?

It would be nice if and only if it was less efficient than training it separately.

Just like js for forwards is less efficient that training js for guards and inside shot separately.
