is this a league i can win this year with maybe 1 or 2 more pieces? my plan at the start of the year was to stay in D5 this season and move up next year but now im 13-1 and have played every game in TIE. i have a 11.0ish game rating sg, a PF and C around 10, and a 7-8 SF. is this a team that can play in D4? thanks for the help

Your league has only 3 human managers besides you, so I say go for it. Adding a couple of 10k pieces should be good enough. One thing I will tell you is to make sure your arena is 7k-8k when you promote to D4. It is your greatest and most consistent form of profit. I recommend having an arena like this:

Bleachers: 6k
Lower Tier: 1k
Courtside: 250-300
Luxury Boxes: 5-10

This should get you by in a typical D4 league.

you can win but I would save my money till d4 and see the climate before you make real roster adjustments.

Play your hand to soon and yours player might be too weak for the league you go to.

i disagree with this a bit. While you will undoubtedly have some roster turnover, a functional team only requires patience and about 60-75k of TL usage. The rest is really about gameshape and enthusiasm management, as many D.IV teams in each division often struggle with these two attributes and reduce their own chances for you.

I do think having an arena pre-promotion bonus over 7k is a must.

if he promotes it would be best for him. I agree , Im saying he should save his money till he promote is all, so he can get a better team that can compete in the league , not pre buy them before hand because each promotion you have to rebuild after some time because of the playing climates.

If he pre buys before he get there instead of actually see what is there. Its really a lost cause, because he could have gotten a lot of better players for the divison.

He will still have bonuses and etc.

You don't really need that much money to be successful in D4. Most of my players when I entered D4 cost me less than 50K. Also, there seems to be a fair amount of turnover in D4 so there will likely be a bot or two in your league. I'm in year three in D4 and I am hoping to make a serious push for the league title next season.
