How does the draft work when you promote? Will I participate in the D5 draft or the D4 draft? I am also thinking that scouting will be a waste in my D5 league when I am probably going to promote to D4 and can't participate in the D5 draft.

You'll participate in the DV draft next month.

The draft is one of the last things that happen in a season.

You will participate in the Div V draft, you have 8 human managers in your league and the rest are bots, so you could get an ok pick as the bots will draft randomly, and you may also have a few teams in your Div that don't understand about the draft as well. I think the lower Divisions have a better chance at getting an ok pick when you are at the top of your league than when you promote to higher leagues because of this (although drafting is always a gamble due to the randomness)
