The merchandise profit, the merchandise profit, the merchandise profit is on fire!!
(A bad reference to the song "the roof is on fire")

I got a big upgrade in merch this week. I didn't track history but it started at about 24k, I believe
Previous week: $ 39 490
This week: $ 44 917

My team is all-drafted(3 draftees + original scrubs), and I have been playing from the beginning of the season. My total salaries stand at about 32k.

First question, is there a reason for a big growth like this? Obviously, I don't have NT players. I didn't have any training pops. Is it possible that game stats influence merch? The only odd thing that happened this week, is my player getting a triple double (60370527). My other game was a blowout loss.

Second question, how big does this thing grow? I know there are some all-drafted teams out there, do they have some extreme merch incomes?

Thanks in advance :)

Ps. I smell money here, and I want more!

I think that merchandise is mostly a factor of who you have on your team and how well you are doing in the league.

Since you are completely home grown, you get really good merchandise effect when your team is doing well.

If I were in your shoes I would look to add some solid national players to your team. Maybe after you have your arena built satisfactory. Besides, at this point you probably are below the league minimum and have to pay tax now for having a smaller salary.

So I would add some players from Crna Gora after the trade deadline. That way you can add some starters to your team and keep your merchandise up.

Alternatively you could wait until next season and just pay the extra fee. But IMO if you have to pay the extra tax anyway, you might as well add some solid starters to your lineup. With 76 active teams in your country you should be able to grab a few decent starters without adding too much to your budget. This will keep your merchandise at a higher level while making your team more competitive for next season.

However, looking at the transfer wire, I only see 1 player that if I were in your shoes I would try to grab. A 32 year old 18,000 salary PG.

So what is your league salary floor?

Thanks, I like your advice, I have a couple of weeks left. I want to squeeze every dollar I can.

Than again the landscape in my country is changing, so many teams are getting inactive, it's ridiculous. When I started, there was 10 active teams in my league, now it's down to 4. Top team from my division went bot. The other one is still alive, but may go bot soon, and even if he stays, he's not much of a powerhouse, like some others. Just a 11k arena, I'll catch him up soon.

Before, my country was mostly consisted of some number of old teams, powerhouses. Some play in div I, some get demoted and then win the league II, and get back, and so on. There is no stepping stones, you just stay in div II until you get strong enough to beat the best teams.

But as I said, many are quitting. A team from my division quit, I also noticed two-three more big ones quitting from other II divs. Even one from div I (I hope he gets demoted to my div) went bot.

I'm contemplating to simply rush my arena to 20k, it may be a waste of money to actually improve the roster.. I probably end up with some 17-18 wins next season anyway.

same here 100% only ever played on my team guys and drafted by me ever guys.

My merch jumped from 21.6k to 23.7k this past update. not the same sizeable jump as yours, but it was a decent sized jump too.

At some point you will want to go for a title...and adding to your homegrown roster with some aquired Crna Gora talent will make you more formidable. But it will be awhile before you have a suitable stadium. So you have plenty of time to shop around.

In my situation in the USA I can pick and find the players I want to fill a RunNGun setup...you may not have that luxury, but with enough time you can find players within to setup a team strategy.

Well GL building your team. I think you are choosing a fun route. I hope you get some good draft picks!

I just bought a 43k player. He now makes about 70% of my salary structure, so I expect a dip in merch incomes. He's Montenegrin though, so it might be less severe.

It was 48.5k last week, let's see how much it drops in the next update.

I'm a bit anxious about this move, maybe I should've continued with the all drafted roster. And I still had a couple of weeks without the salary floor.

i have all-canadian team and noticed that merchandise varies greatly (sometimes 20% based on results in past week and fan survey) NT players help but not as much as people seem to believe
