Looks like he might have had better game shapes and possibly enthusiasm, he did get off more shots than you did and a higher volume of 3's,he also dominated you on the boards, OR led to some good 2nd chance shots for easy scoring, while your team also fouled much more than his, giving up freebies from the line, if his guys are good FT shooters and have high experience, they can hold on to tight games.
There are a lot of little factors that can make up for a tight loss that is unexpected, I would really analyze the detail in this oneand look where you could make changes and reverse the rresult next time you play him.
